  5. BS86 provides a comprehensive and traditional double-entry bookkeeping system
  6. for maintaining sales and purchase ledgers which each post to a nominal ledger.
  7. The system is designed to be simple to use with familiar bookkeeping
  8. terminology and limited scope for mis-operation. The ledgers were designed and
  9. implemented as the basic bookkeeping system behind a wide range of further
  10. systems within the BS86 suite of integrated modules. The range of systems
  11. include: purchase order processing; sales order processing and sales invoicing;
  12. stock recording; production scheduling bill of materials processing; component
  13. traceability to BS5750; time recording and job costing. The modules of software
  14. are combined in a variety of ways to suit the needs of each customer and to
  15. provide semi-bespoke solutions at package prices. The data and software can be
  16. seamlessly integrated with Uniplex Office Automation software.
